Before the Supercars come to town, The Bend Motorsport Park will host a celebration of South Australian motor sport history this Fathers' Day weekend.

A unique Porsche 911 GT1 Evolution – believed to be the only one in the world converted from a racing car to a street-legal model – will be among more than 70 classic vehicles to feature at the event.

The Porsche was recently sold to a South Australian collector after having won the Canadian GT championship three times.

Spectators can also expect to see middle-aged formula one cars, sports sedans, touring cars and sports cars.

Each will race against the clock in a super sprint format.

Entry is free for spectators.
