What sort of artwork should go on Murray Bridge’s silos?

Locals have an opportunity to put their ideas forward between now and December 10.

The Murray Bridge council has been granted almost $90,000 towards getting the silos painted, adding to a trail of artworks stretching through Karoonda and Coonalpyn and around Australia.

But what’s the image that best represents Murray Bridge, its identity, its aspirations and its values?

What kind of artwork will inspire local pride and tell visitors about the district?

Now is your chance to offer your two cents.

Whatever image is decided upon, it will tower over the road to Hume Reserve, or Pomberuk, a site with particular importance to the Ngarrindjeri people.

It will also be visible from Murray Bridge’s central business district, Railway Terrace, Mannum Road, the old road bridge and the east side.
