Local staff are now taking bookings for accommodation at the $45 million development ahead of its opening next month.

This is your opportunity to check out that unbeatable view for yourself – after enjoying dinner in the Murraylands’ hottest new restaurant, of course.

Here’s what else we can tell you about the new Bridgeport.

Even during construction, the River Murray feels so close you could reach out and touch it from the riverside guest suites. Photo: Bridgeport Hotel.

It will offer spectacular views of the River Murray and city centre

The new Bridgeport Hotel will be the biggest, most luxurious hotel in the Murraylands, with 100 high quality, contemporary rooms.

You will be able to choose either a riverside or city suite, with or without a balcony, from just $159 per night.

Each suite features a king bed, living and working area, bathroom and walk-in shower, locally commissioned artwork, in-room entertainment, room service and free wi-fi.

Hotel guests can also access an exclusive infinity pool, bar and barbecue area with picturesque river views.

Interconnecting and accessible suites are available, as are discounted rates for corporate travellers and tour groups.

Bookings are available directly through the Bridgeport Hotel website: bridgeporthotel.com.au.

The food will be fantastic – and local

The Rivergum Restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the heart of Murray Bridge.

Whether you’re looking for a light bite or something heartier, the menu will feature the very best local ingredients and cater to your every dietary requirement.

Its extensive beverage list will include South Australian beers, wines and spirits to pair with every meal.

For a relaxing drink or snack, you might also visit the Lounge, where you’ll find barista-made coffee, house cocktails and – by reservation – the Bridgeport’s signature high tea experience.

You can’t miss the Bridgeport from Bridge Street. A main street entrance will lead into a new sports bar. Photo: Bridgeport Hotel.

The hotel of the future will include a nod to the past

In 1924, eight rowers from working-class, small-town Murray Bridge overcame injuries, poverty and prejudice to represent Australia at the Paris Olympic Games.

The Bridgeport Hotel’s new sports bar will be named and decorated in their honour.

The Cods Bar, off Bridge Street, will feature a range of local and international beers on tap, live sport on big screens and TAB and Keno facilities.

Not your style?

Try the Terrace, an al fresco bar and dining area overlooking the River Murray, with sports and entertainment available on a huge, high-definition screen.

If you’ve got somewhere else to be, you’ll still be able to grab a drink at the Liquor Legends drive-through bottle shop.

At sunrise, the water in the Bridgeport Hotel’s infinity pool blends into the river and the sky. Do you feel relaxed yet? Photo: Bridgeport Hotel.
