Things to do in Murray Bridge: November 3–9, 2023
All you need to know about the White Hill Truck Drivers' Memorial, a Murray Bridge Players and Singers show, a Jamboree at the Bend and more.
This week is all about celebrating different types of racing, from cars – in Cars and Coffee and the Garrett Adelaide Jamboree – to horses in the Melbourne Cup.
But one more solemn event, involving wheels but not at all about racing, is the White Hill Truck Drivers’ Memorial event on Saturday.
The event, created by Keith and Cathie Wood, is held each year to honour and mourn for truck drivers and bus drivers who’ve died, either on the roads or from natural causes.
A big crowd is expected to line Adelaide Road in Murray Bridge to pay their respects, while a convoy of truckdrivers will pay their own tribute by driving along the road – see more below.
This week’s Things to Do is brought to you by Newbridge. Premium land is for sale, including exclusive golf course allotments. Enquire today.
