There’s no question that the biggest event in town this week will be stage four of the men’s Tour Down Under.

It’ll be so big, in fact, that we’ve given you a comprehensive preview in a separate story.

Friday 19th ☀️ 28°

Delightful Devonshire tea: 10.30am-12.30pm at the Round House, Murray Bridge. Catch the cycle race action on the big screen while treating yourself to a Devonshire tea, coffee and a live acoustic session. Bring your own picnic rug and explore the Round House with available guided tours.

BBQ, Bridge and Bikes: 10.30am-12.30pm at Murray Bridge RSL. Hosted by local service clubs with live, acoustic music.

BBQ brunch: 10.30am-12.30pm at Geisler Reserve, Jervois. The ultimate roadside view of the Tour Down Under action. Bring your chair, relax and soak in the excitement as the riders take on the bend.

Wheels in Wellington Brunch at the Hall: 10.30am-12.30pm at Wellington Hall. Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the town’s prime viewing spot, where you can revel in the roadside view of the race.

Tour Down Under, stage four: From 11.10am in Murray Bridge, Jervois and Wellington. A 136-kilometre journey will start in Murray Bridge at 11.10am and finish at Port Elliot. A neutral loop will see the peloton cross the River Murray, highlighting our ongoing flood recovery, before racing begins on the city’s outskirts. Bridge Street will close from 6am-2.30pm.

First Nations Voice to Parliament conversation: 12-2pm at the John Dohler Hall, Christ Church Lutheran, Murray Bridge. Commissioner Dale Agius will share information on the model for South Australia’s Voice and how nominations and elections will be constructed.

Saturday 20th ☀️ 36°

Pink Stumps Day: 2.30pm at Johnstone Park, Murray Bridge. The Imperial Cricket Club will raise awareness and donations for the McGrath Foundation with a charity match accompanied by a cocktail lunch, raffles, player auctions and more.

Sturt Reserve fun day: 4-8pm at Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge. This free, family-friendly celebration promises an unforgettable experience for all ages, with activities including skate, scooter and BMX workshops requiring registration, an SANFL footy fun zone, fun run jumping castle, live music from talented locals and heaps more. Track championship round five: From 5pm at Murray Bridge Speedway. Gates open at 4pm ahead of racing in street stocks, wingless sprints, formula 500s, modlites, super sedans and AMCAs. Tickets: $25 at tickets.speedwaytickets.com.au.
