Ava Lindner, Murray Bridge High student, brings home gold
Ava Lindner, a Murray Bridge High School student who was selected to play in the South Australia under 17 state netball team, competed in the National Netball Championships in Frankston, Victoria.
The SA team brought home gold after defeating Western Australian in the final.
The side remained undefeated for the entire tournament and delivered on the big stage, taking the game 30-28.
Congratulations to Ava for this impressive achievement.
Close race in F-class open for Murray Bridge Rifle Club
The Murray Bridge Rifle Club shot from 1000 yards in the 29th stage of its annual championship.
The wind came from the right all afternoon with enough variation to make it extra challenging for early shooters but settling later in the day.
It was a very close race in F-class open, with only centres deciding the winner.
John Cranwell earned the top off-rifle award with 113.07, including a 59.04 in his second round, ahead of Adrian Conlon on 113.05, Ian Elston was not far behind on 111.08.

Tyson Wright too good in Saturday’s stroke comp
Tyson Wright showcased his golfing ability by coming out on top at Saturday’s Stroke competition with a fine nett 64.
On a day of very good scores he did best to sneak home.
