New play equipment will be installed at Tailem Bend’s Railway Terrace playground over the next few weeks.

The Coorong council was due to begin installing a new slide, monkey bars, balancing bridges and other equipment, pictured above, on Monday.

It will say goodbye to an old bridge, slide, climbing equipment and monkey bars which were beginning to show their age, pictured below.

The old soft-fall material beneath the old equipment will also be replaced.

The area will be cordoned off while the works are completed.

“We look forward to the improved site being well used and enjoyed by our young residents, families and visitors once it is complete,” the council said in a statement.
