I am extremely concerned about the effects of a virus release into our river system. Nothing has changed from when "Scientists warned that a mass Carp kill could cause secondary infections that could spread to Humans" and "that the river would be turned into a bloody mess, "comparable to sewerage", and that cleaning up hundreds of thousands of tonnes of dead fish would be logistically impossible." Water from the River Murray in this State is so precious as we are the "driest State in the driest Continent in the World" and the whole of S.A. relies so heavily on water from our River Murray.

I feel this river community is the guinea pig here as it does not appear to have been tested in any overseas communities.
