My kids stay close to shore and even then they have come close to been run over by boats speeding to drop off their water skiers off at the bank and then speeding off and leaving the rope flying around!
A very sensible recommendation, as with ever increasing number of boat owners, extra riverfront areas need to be opened up. The area on Wildens Way has adjacent roadway and is easily accessible to river with room for parking and boat trailers. Council may however need to consider another boat ramp in the area to accommodate the extra boat traffic.
Absolutely, we need more accessible riverfront, with more open space. Long Island, Thieles, Avoca, Hume and Sturts were all full, and the public can't get to Queen Louisa ... so please get those vacant areas at Wildens at least grassed so we can host more visitors!

Maybe the police should do their job and when called about dangerous boat and jet ski owners they should do something!
