MFS and CFS firefighters have responded to a shed fire on Ind Street, Murray Bridge.

On their arrival, at around 6.40am on Thursday, the firefighters found the shed fully engulfed in flames.

The blaze took 45 minutes to get under control and extinguish.

It is estimated that the damage incurred could be up to $60,000, with the shed and two cars having been gutted.

Police believe the cause of the fire is suspicious and are currently investigating.

Fire destroys tractor during spraying

Later on Thursday, Country Fire Service volunteers were called upon to put out a tractor fire at Bletchley, between Langhorne Creek and Woodchester.

The tractor caught alight while a farmer was spraying.

Sixteen firefighters from four units were able to keep the fire from spreading to surrounding paddocks.

However, it still caused about $90,000 worth of damage, as the tractor was totally destroyed and the sprayer sustained some damage.

A CFS spokeswoman said a mechanical fault was the fire’s likely cause.
