Some of South Australia’s most prominent movers and shakers will come together to discuss the state’s housing and workforce problems at a summit in Murray Bridge next month.

The Regional Development South Australia summit will feature a panel discussion about “solutions for housing in the regions” with leaders of the building, housing and property industry, plus representatives of local government, Renewal SA and the State Planning Commission.

Renewal SA chief executive Chris Menz, whose agency is charged with tackling housing market failure around the state, will also address the crisis.

Other items on the agenda will include a panel discussion about the skills regional employers need; an introduction to workforce and leadership projects from around the state; and appearances by Primary Industries and Regional Development Minister Clare Scriven and migration agent Mark Glazbrook.

ABC Adelaide breakfast radio presenter Stacey Lee will emcee the event.
