You deserve to relax and be pampered on your next visit to a hairdressing salon.

You’re looking for a hairdresser who cares about you, your wellbeing and the environment.

You’re tired of always being in a rush, and you want to look good without breaking the budget.

Jo Freeth at Alchemy Hair Co can help.

An experienced hairstylist who recently returned to Murray Bridge after a spell in Queensland, she has opened a new salon at 31-35 Seventh Street.

Walk in the door and you’ll know right away that there’s something different about Alchemy Hair Co – the vibes are immaculate.

Would you care for a cuppa or a cool drink while you wait?

“I try to make (your visit) a relaxing event … you can come in here, get away from the kids or work and enjoy your time here,” Jo says.

Alchemy Hair Co offers haircuts for women, men and kids, as well as:

  • low-chemical colours
  • foils and blondes
  • balayage
  • hairstyles for weddings, formals and special events

You’ll be delighted to know that Jo is a curly hair specialist, too – it’s something she has focused on throughout her 20 years in the industry.

“Sixty per cent of Aussies have some type of curl texture in their hair, but a majority of hairdressers don’t know how to cut it because they haven’t been taught it in trade school,” she says.

“I had one lady come in who was scared to get her hair cut because every hairdresser she’d had in the past didn’t know what to do – it was really curly and huge.

“She walked in and said ‘are you scared of my hair’, I said ‘I love your hair’ … she was very happy.

“I’m a bit of a curl nerd, I guess.”

Jo is also very mindful of the environment, in everything from the lighting in the salon to the products she uses in your hair.

“Everything I use is all natural, organic and Australian made,” she says.

“Sustainability is important to me.”

So the next time you need to freshen up your look, prepare for a special occasion or just need a quick trim, call Jo at Alchemy Hair Co.

Alchemy Hair Co is open from 9am-1pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and 9am-5pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
