Back in the late1960's my wife, Marg, worked in Guiney"s Newsagency (located in Bridge Street where Offe Jewelers are now) and our then retired Police Sergeant, the late Bill Rogers, would ask for the local newspaper but would not call it the Murray Valley Standard as he would say "Can I have an EGG BOILER please ? " When asked what he meant he would clarify the request by saying "The Standard please - it only takes 3 minutes to read."
Well I don't think it is any better today with a minimum of "Local" news and plenty of other "Internet Grabs" to pad it out.
We much prefer your "Murray Bridge News" ! ! ! All the best for 2022 .
