The Murray Bridge Life Saving Club will launch its Nippers program for term one this Friday.

Designed to develop water safety skills and confidence in young participants, the program will feature eight engaging sessions, including excursions, educational experiences, and a fun-filled carnival day.

The program will run on Fridays from January 30 until April 18, with the first session being a skills evaluation day at Murray Bridge Swimming Centre from 4-5pm with the remainder of the sessions to be held at Sturt Reserve.

There will also be a beach trip incorporated into the program, scheduled for Saturday, February 28, at West Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

The Nippers program also provides structured resources and training to support
potential age group managers, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all
involved.

Program planner Chelsea said the club's goal was to create a program that would not only teach vital water safety skills, but also build confidence, teamwork and love of the aquatic environment.

"We want every child to feel supported and excited to learn," she said.
