Bridgeview Family Practice plans to move into a new medical centre on Adelaide Road.

The centre’s floor plans include 11 consulting rooms, a pathology section, a physio and gym room and an infection area.

The landscaping schedule includes different varieties of trees, plants and shrubbery.

Rojina Maharjan, office manager for the Solitaire medical group, said Bridgeview Family practice is looking to move into the new building once the process moves forward.

“Currently we are a 6 general practitioner practice and we are fully booked with the patients and waiting times are increasing.”

It’s no longer sufficient to accommodate the increasing number of patients and expansion of our services, she said.

“The new building will enable us to provide higher quality care and reduce wait times.”

The community will be benefited with reduced wait times, broader range of specialists, and expanding allied health services including specialised physiotherapy, podiatry, exercise physiologist, dietitian, pharmacist for medication reviews and psychologists.

“We are deeply committed to serving the Murray Bridge community and are excited about the opportunities this new clinic will bring,” Ms Maharjan said.

Solitaire Group will lease with local health providers and hopes to provide services under one roof, she said.

Council approval for the construction is still pending.

A period of public consultation about the plans will end next Thursday.
