July 13 1.50pm Update

The Shell service station in Tailem Bend has become the first site in the Murraylands to be listed as a Covid exposure site.

SA Health Deputy Chief Public Health Officer Emily Kirkpatrick confirmed this morning that removalists from Sydney had visited the service station on Friday July 9.

Anyone who visited the business between 5.20pm and 7pm will now need to get tested and self-isolate for 14 days, with further tests on day 5 and day 13.

There were 18 QR code check-ins during the above time period who are being contacted, but SA Health reminded anyone that visited and didn’t check in to now get tested and self-isolate.

Additionally anyone who has visited the Shell service station since Friday should monitor for symptoms and get tested if any develop.

Two of the three removalists who visited the service station on the way back to Sydney have tested positive for Covid-19.

Ms Kirkpatrick said that CCTV footage was also being used to see the amount of contact between the customers and staff.

One of the two staff members working at the time is currently symptomatic.
