Murray Bridge swimming season will open on October 31
The dates for the 2026-27 season at Murray Bridge Swimming Centre have been announced.
Staff at the Murray Bridge Swimming Centre are looking forward to a big summer after welcoming more than 50,000 visits last season.
The centre will open from October 31 until March 29 this swimming season, and will host an estimated 1500 visitors for the SA Country Swimming Championships in January.
To get ready, the Murray Bridge council will invest $288,000 in new pool covers and improvements to the pool’s heating and filtration system in the coming months.
It will also expand its swimming lesson program by hiring a second instructor this summer.
“The Murray Bridge Swimming Centre is a unique and highly valued community asset, and we are excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to grow participation, strengthen wellbeing outcomes and create great experiences for our community,” Mayor Wayne Thorley said.
