Murray Bridge sporting clubs need your approval to keep their home grounds
Monarto Cricket Club and Murray Bridge Croquet Club both hope to extend their leases for 10 more years – but first they need public approval.
Two of the Murraylands’ oldest sporting clubs hope to secure a long-term future at their respective homes.
Monarto Cricket Club, established in 1884, has applied to extend its lease at Homburg Oval, Murray Bridge for another 10 years.
Meanwhile, 110-year-old Murray Bridge Croquet Club’s members want to spend another decade at their Thomas Street greens.
But both properties are owned by the Murray Bridge council, so both leases can only be granted after a public consultation.
