A Murray Bridge man has been charged with a child sex offence.

Detectives from SA Police’s public protection branch arrested the 32-year-old on Tuesday morning.

The arrest was based on a tip-off from a Victoria Police sexual offences and child abuse investigation unit based at Frankston, in Melbourne’s southeast.

He was charged with procuring a child to commit an indecent act.

However, he was released on bail ahead of a court appearance in Murray Bridge on March 1.

SA Police described the case as an excellent example of interstate jurisdictions working together to protect the vulnerable.

Anyone with information about people involved in the exploitation of children should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
