The Murray Bridge Life Saving Club has held a community fun day at Sturt Reserve.

MBLSC invited a number of surf clubs to come and see what Nippers on the river looked like and join in the fun on March 21.

It was a jam-packed day with action, learning and fun on the river.

Local Nippers, members and visiting clubs took part in:

  • Beach sprints and relays
  • Water-based activities and swim/board relays
  • Live demonstrations with jet skis and rescue equipment
  • Drone displays from Surf Life Saving SA
  • Team building, skill development and plenty of smiles

“It was amazing to see our Murray Bridge Nippers and future lifesavers building confidence, developing skills and enjoying everything the program has to offer,” said club president Erin Scammell.

“Events like this highlight the strength and momentum behind the Murray Bridge Life Saving Club and the opportunities that it creates for young people in our region.”

The Murray Bride Life Saving Club welcomes new members and volunteers.
