The Murray Bridge Garden Group had three mystery gardens to visit in their latest get together on Friday October 18.

The first was over east side at Pam Doecke’s beautiful large garden where we enjoyed morning tea.

We then ventured on to Mr and Mrs Leggett’s garden just off Adelaide Road, this garden is a beautiful rose garden and is a very colourful rose display.

Finally we visited the home of Deirdre and Trevor Kitto's for lunch, to which there was a beautiful large garden.

On Friday November 1 the group had a Special General Meeting to pass the new constitution, and after a normal meeting was held.

Present were 44 members, one visitor and 12 apologies.

After morning tea, we had our guest speaker Mr John Zwar to talk about the Arid Lands Park at Port Augusta.

He also gave out some information on the other Botanic Gardens; Mt Lofty Garden, Darwin and Lae in Papua New Guinea, where he had lived.

He also showed the most amazing slides of Port Augusta and all the other gardens as well.

Rosalie Beelitz gave the vote of thanks and a gift.

On Saturday November 16 the Garden Group is excited to be having a bus trip to the Noarlunga Festival of Flowers.

The next meeting is the Christmas Breakup at the Wellington Hotel on December 6.

Members are asked to meet at Johnstone Park Clubrooms at 11am to sign in and get badges.

All are welcome for good fun, good fellowship and good gardening.

There will be no meetings in January, as the New Year meetings will begin on February 7 2025.

A very happy and healthy Christmas to you all.
