mteSA is excited to welcome Tony Gavros as its new chief executive officer.

Tony officially began his role on January 6.

He brings almost two decades of experience in the training, apprenticeship, labour hire and workforce space into the organisation, including significant workforce programs in the Murraylands and South East regions.

His deep understanding of the VET sector and proven track record in delivering exceptional training outcomes make him an ideal leader for the organisation's next chapter.

Board chair Matthew Menzel says everyone at mteSA looks forward to seeing how Tony’s strategic leadership and innovative approach will continue to improve the organisation’s service offering.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tony Gavros as our new CEO,” he says.

“His outstanding leadership and expertise will be invaluable in guiding mteSA through its next phase of growth and development.”

Mr Gavros says he is excited to join the team.

“mteSA has long been an organisation deeply rooted in the community, dedicated to making a difference to the lives of apprentices, trainees and job seekers, whilst also providing innovative workforce development solutions,” he says.

“I am passionate about this sector and excited about the growth of the business as we move into 2025 and beyond.”

Employment, VET courses, apprenticeships, traineeships and even pre-employment training can change people’s lives, he says.

He looks forward to helping local people in each of those situations take the next step.

He is also excited to help employers invest in and empower their workforces, and engage their local communities, during the current period of low unemployment.

mteSA looks forward an exciting chapter under Tony’s leadership, and to continuing to deliver outstanding training outcomes for apprentices, trainees, and host employers.
