Motorbike stolen in Murray Bridge

Plus a Murray Bridge man will face court after being stopped for drink driving over the weekend.

Murray Bridge police are investigating the theft of a motorbike from a local shed over the weekend.

On Saturday, between 3-3.30pm, a shed on Rocky Gully Road was entered.

A blue Yamaha motorbike with South Australian registration S87BXS and a helmet were stolen from inside.

The public are encouraged to contact police if anyone knows the whereabouts of the stolen motorbike or saw anything suspicious in the area.

Drink driver stopped

On Sunday at around 2am, Murray Bridge police stopped a Nissan ute driving on Woodlands Road in Murray Bridge.

A 35-year-old local man was breath tested by police and allegedly returned a reading of 0.187.

He was reported for drink driving and received a 12-month instant loss of licence.

The car was impounded for 28 days and its driver will be summoned to appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
