Plans have been filed for a 127-lot housing development on the outskirts of Mannum.
A company called Mannum Developments is behind the proposed subdivision, which would sit between Male Road and Adelaide Road.
New roads and a public park would form part of the development.
The major partners in the project are Lobethal earth-moving company Schwarz Excavations and Civil and another South Australian company, with smaller stakes taken up by home building company La Vida Homes and developer Grant Jones.
The land in question is zoned for use as a suburban neighbourhood, just like much of the rest of the town.
No public consultation period will be required for the development to go ahead.
However, the Mid Murray Council has not yet approved the plan.
