Escapee arrested after fleeing Murray Bridge hospital in handcuffs
Police have found a man who allegedly escaped their custody on Saturday evening.
Police have found a man who had allegedly escaped from Murray Bridge Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in handcuffs.
Simon Newchurch was located in Murray Bridge on Sunday morning.
He had been under police guard at the hospital, with his hands cuffed, when he allegedly escaped around 6.30pm the previous night.
Officers soon called in a helicopter and a police dog to help with the search.
Police thanked the public for their help.
