You could help save a life when you jump on your motorbike this weekend.
Organisers are urging motorcyclists from around the Murraylands to join the seventh annual Ride Against Suicide on Sunday.
More than 100 will gather at Palmer and travel in a convoy through the Adelaide Hills to Nuriootpa, then on to Two Wells, before heading into the city and finishing with a lap of the main arena at the Royal Adelaide Show.
The registration fees they pay will go to Silent Ripples, a Murray Bridge-based organisation which supports people bereaved by or at risk of suicide.
Spokesman Duncan Emmins said raising awareness of organisations which aimed to prevent suicide was important.
“It’s worth it just for that one life (it saves),” he said.
Mark Marchetti and his business, car dealership Duttons, will lend the riders a support vehicle for the day – “it’s a good cause,” he said.
