Linda Hayman's goal is all about helping you have a mind set of clarity enhancement, tune into what really matters, and make space for the life you actually want to live.

Linda aims to provide a service that encourages individuals over 35 to embrace their true selves by aligning their values and beliefs with their authentic identities.

With nearly 20 years of experience as registered nurse, Linda takes a compassionate approach in the nursing field to prevent health issues and promote a holistic well-being.

On top of her busy life as a nurse at the Meningie hospital, she also does NDIS support work, with no two days ever looking the same.

In the last year she has set up a space at 26 Ritter Street in Murray Bridge, using hypnotherapy and other modalities to get to the core of emotions and release them.

"We all need the pharmaceutical medications... but it's nice to not be able to rely on it so much as they've got side effects too."

Doctors only have a small amount of time during their scheduled appointment to build a rapport, obtain the patient's history, and then diagnose and deliver a script, she says.

"Collaborating with the doctors, we can get to the cause of the effect and the underlying issues.

"We're not robots either, it's a matter of building resilience and knowing how to respond to the emotions.

"Our emotions aren't going to disappear but its about knowing our triggers and not relying so heavily on the medical industry to helps us with out health - mentally, emotionally and physically."

What is hypnotherapy?

Many people might imagine, falling into a deep sleep and being made to act like a chicken on stage, but this isn't quite the same deal.

In Linda's owns words hypnotherapy is opening up your awareness to your subconscious mind, because that's what knows all the answers, it's just often blocked by various outside influences.

"People are taking more control... there's more options out there."

"I look at the whole holistic approach of the person ... it's not just focusing on getting the client in a relaxing state, it's looking at the whole holistic environment."

Linda takes into account where people live, what they do, where they come from and other medical considerations.

"We are often the cause and the effect. They do have choices and it's just getting (clients) to be aware of what's available."

For the body to heal itself, it requires a healthy environment, she says.

What do sessions look like?

Clients will primarily attend the session to achieve a goal of maintaining a healthier mindset, both mentally and physically, as well as emotionally.

The initial appointment centres on exploring the client's medical history along with their relationships, values, and beliefs; as well as assessing their stress and anxiety levels within both personal and professional environments

Next, Linda identifies the source of the unwarranted emotions.

Linda specialises in:

  • Stress reduction/managing anxiety
  • Performance enhancement/motivation
  • Weight management
  • Smoking cessation

If we don't look at the emotions first we're not going to find the core of the issue, she says.

It's primarily about the reasons for our emotions: "Every emotion is subconsciously connected to a memory, whether it's a good or bad one."

We release the emotion with time line therapy and hypnosis so that when you're faced with the emotion again you know how to respond with more resilience, she says.

If you're just wanting a chat to see what her practice entails, Linda offers free 15 minute phone consultations.

Each Tuesday Linda also hosts evening meditation classes and is looking to bring back her laughter yoga classes.

Also, this August, a new workshop will begin; the Lotus Program focuses on building resilience.

"It's about being more connected with yourself, managing anxiety and building resilience with society."
