Liana Webster joins the Murray Bridge News team
Meet the team member who has started work at Murray Bridge News as the newest journalist.
Hi everyone, my name is Liana Webster, the newest addition to the journalist team at Murray Bridge News.
I am currently in my second year at the University of South Australia, studying a Bachelor of Journalism and Professional Writing.
In my first year out of school I took a gap year, cruising up and down the river working on the Murray Princess.
When the floods hit in 2022, I decided to follow my passion for reading, writing and creative arts.
I grew up on my family farm located near Purnong, which is an approximately 45 minute drive to Murray Bridge.
Outside of working and studying I love to be active, playing for my local sporting club, Mannum Roos Netball Club.
Being involved in the local community is important and I believe everybody deserves a chance to be heard.
I’m so excited to hear your stories, spread positivity and uplift the community.
I’ll be working at Murray Bridge News on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, thanks to a grant from the Walkley Foundation’s Meta Australian News Fund.
