A free performance weaving together Indigenous traditions and western classical music will be staged in Murray Bridge this Friday.

Kaurna Yarta will interpret the cycle of the seasons through the eyes of the Kaurna people, traditional owners of the Adelaide plains, through 80 minutes of cinematic music and dance.

Performing will be the Bowerbird Collective, a five-piece string ensemble; Takari Owen and the Taikurtinna Dance company; and narrator and yidaki player Jamie Goldsmith.

The free show at the Murray Bridge Sound Shell will start at 6pm on Friday.

The local performance will form part of a tour which will also visit Adelaide, Port Pirie and Wallaroo with support from Country Arts SA and Creative SA.
