Help shape the future of library services across the Mid Murray
The council is looking for feedback on the services provided by the Mannum Community Library.
The Mid Murray Council is inviting members of the community to participate in a survey to help improve library services across the region.
The survey includes the library services provided by the Mannum Community Library, in addition to services provided by the libraries in Swan Reach, Cambrai, Morgan and Blanchetown.
The survey aims to better understand how the community uses library services, what services they value the most and what services they would like to see prioritised in the future.
Mayor Simone Bailey said libraries remained an important part of community life and "support lifelong learning, literacy, digital inclusion and community connection for people of all ages".
"Council invests approximately $216,000 each year to deliver library services across the Mid Murray region, so it is important that these these services continue to meet community needs and provide value for residents," she said.
The council is encouraging feedback from all members of the community, including those who do not currently access library services.
"Whether you regularly visit your local library, use library services occasionally, or have never used them, we encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey and help council understand the needs and priorities of our community," Ms Bailey said.
The library services review survey will close at 5pm on Monday, October 12.
The survey responses will then be reviewed and considered alongside other relevant information to assist the council in future planning.
