The inaugural Hearts and Horsepower at The Bend spectacularly roared to life, delivering a day of speed, joy and unforgettable memories last Saturday, August 30.

An idea, by Genuine Support Service Australia (GSSA) and Tailem Bend Auto Club was turned into an experience that left a lasting mark on everyone who was part of it.

Over 35 proud Tailem Bend auto club members rolled up with their pride and joys, ready to share their passion for motoring.

With more than 50 thrilled passengers buckled in, the GT Circuit came alive as the cars set off for three exhilarating laps.

Engines roared, tyres gripped, and hearts raced – not just from the speed, but from the sheer excitement of being part of something so special.

Passengers stepped out of cars with wide smiles, many saying the experience had
"made their day” or even that they “felt like a VIP.”

For some, it was the first time they had ever been in a performance car on a world-class racing circuit, and the joy was written on their faces.

Drivers, too, were buzzing, calling it a wonderful opportunity to share their passion
with people who truly appreciated every moment.

The sense of camaraderie between the club members, the guests, and The Bend’s
staff made the day even more extraordinary.

GSSA and the Tailem Bend Auto Club are already gearing up for next year, eager to make it even bigger and better.

The spirit of the event, bringing people together, creating joy and celebrating the love of cars, has set the tone for what promises to become a much-loved Murraylands tradition.

The day would not have been possible without the Tailem Bend Auto Club and the support of the world-class teams at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park and Rydges Pit Lane Hotel.

This was more than just an event, it was an experience and it’s only the beginning.
