Grass fire at Rockleigh brought under control

The SA Country Fire Service has quickly corralled a fire that began burning towards a house on Rockleigh Road on Thursday morning.

The Country Fire Service has quickly brought a grass fire at Rockleigh under control on Thursday morning.

The fire was first reported just before 10.15am, at which stage it was heading towards a house on Rockleigh Road.

Firefighting aircraft were dispatched to the scene and dropped four loads of water.

The CFS issued a watch and act message at 11am, advising anyone in the area of Rockleigh Road, between Rams Road and Bondleigh Road, to prepare to leave.

However, by 10.45am the danger had passed.

However, locals are advised to take care in the area.
