Grants available for community groups, projects and events in the Murray Bridge district
Here’s how your community group can win funding from the Murray Bridge council.

Do you have a community project that could do with $5000?
The Murray Bridge council has a wad of cash to give away to local groups, initiatives and events as part of its twice-annual community grants program.
Recipients last time around included the Murraylands Community Men’s Shed, Murray Bridge Community Concert Band and 18 other local organisations.
Anyone interested will be able to find out more at an information session next Wednesday at 12pm, at Murray Bridge Town Hall.
Mayor Brenton Lewis said encouraged anyone with an idea that would make life better for local people to apply.
“We see a wide range of projects and events delivered through this program every year, including environmental initiatives, sporting infrastructure, community events and many others,” he said.
“Now is an ideal time for community groups to consider initiatives they wish to pursue and apply for council funding that would help, especially if they have not applied for funding previously.”
Grant applications must be submitted by 4.45pm on September 3.
