Country Arts SA will hold a grant-writing workshop in Murray Bridge next week to support regional artists in their applications for support.

Project grants of up to $30,000 are available and there is no minimum grant amount.

The workshops are designed to help artists, and arts workers, organisations and businesses with practical exercises and tips.

This includes advice about defining your project with a one-page synopsis, engaging with stakeholders, and budgeting and project planning.

Country Arts SA arts and culture manager Deb Myers and grants program administrator Pete Gately will also present case studies of successful projects funded by Country Arts SA in the past.

Mr Gately has worked in arts and entertainment for 25 years as a writer, producer and manager of music, film and marketing projects.

He has achieved grant writing successes for a wide range of projects including a multi-platform entertainment project which received an international Emmy Award.

The Murraylands event will be held at Murray Bridge Regional Gallery on February 26 from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Before registering for a workshop, please check that your project is eligible for funding by visiting www.countryarts.org.au.
