More than 500 people with disabilities will benefit from a fundraiser at Murray Bridge Golf Club on Friday.

Community Living Australia’s annual golf day attracted 12 teams of four this year, and raised more than $5000.

A team featuring international golfing prodigy Armani Marsters was hotly tipped to take the title, but was outscored by the Print City team of Ryan and Tim Hansen, Dave Shaw and Peter Canaway.

Fees paid by participating teams, and the proceeds of a silent auction, will go to the non-profit organisation which provides services to Murraylands residents living with disability.

It was important that the one in five Australians who lived with disability felt as valued and as much a part of their communities as anyone else, chief executive Mark Kulinski said.

“We might have to be 1.5 metres away from the next person, but we’re still here for each other,” he said.
