Give it more grass: Bowling club members join Movember effort
A growing number of Murray Bridge Bowling Club members will be raising funds and awareness for men's health this month.

What do you think theyād look like with moustaches?
Weāre about to find out.
Members of Murray Bridge Bowling Club are banding together for menās health this month, pledging to grow their facial hair or walk 60 kilometres for Movember.
Darren āMaccaā McIntosh was the first to put his hand up a few weeks ago.
Now at least nine bowlers have agreed to grow a mo, while a handful more club members and friends will walk or run throughout the month of November instead.
Team member Rosalie Shilton said anyone else in Murray Bridge who wanted to join in would be welcome to do so.
There was no particular reason the team had signed up to help tackle menās health issues including mental health, prostate and testicular cancer.
Personally, though, she said the sudden loss of the clubās bartender, Matt Chant, to cancer in August had made her more aware of how fragile life could be.
Raising funds and awareness would draw the teamās members closer together, she said.
āItās quite confronting when you think about menās health,ā she said.
āItās a closed book ā people donāt really talk about it.
āWeāre putting it out there.ā
