Country Fire Service volunteers have brought a grass fire at Woodlane under control.

The fire was first reported near 469 North Bokara Road, about 1.3 kilometres downstream of the shack area and Woodlane Reserve, on Saturday afternoon.

The CFS issued an advice message at 3pm, warning anyone in the area to monitor the situation, as almost 20 crews worked to bring the blaze under control.

By 4pm, however, it advised that the threat posed by the fire had reduced.

Local residents should continue to take care in the area.
