Entries open ahead of the 2021 Murray Bridge Rotary Art Show
Whether you're an experienced exhibitor or hobby artist, here's a chance to show your work, make a sale and win a prize.
This sponsored post is brought to you by the Rotary Clubs of Murray Bridge and Mobilong.
It takes creativity to produce an artwork and bravery to share it with the world.
If you’ve got a little of both, the Rotary Clubs of Murray Bridge and Mobilong want to hear from you.
Entries are now open for the 29th Murray Bridge Rotary Art Show, which will give local artists an opportunity to have their work shown at Murray Bridge Regional Gallery – and to make a sale or win a prize while they’re at it.
Prizes of up to $1000 cash will be awarded in each of three categories: painting, photography and 3D art.
Rotarian and artist Sue Foster encouraged all her artistic brethren – whether hobbyists or experienced – to download an entry form or pick one up at the gallery.
“Anyone can put in work,” she said.
“You get to show it in a first-class, major gallery, which most people who paint a couple of weeks a year don't get a chance to do.
“It’s really nice to be able to do that, and to invite your friends and family to the opening.”
She hoped to see entries from the many talented young creatives who had submitted work for last year’s Rotary Youth Art Prize, too.
Entries in the Murray Bridge Rotary Art Show cost $15 and should be received by Monday, May 3.
Artists must have their works delivered to the gallery between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday, May 5.
The show will open on May 15 and conclude on June 13.
