Drunk driver was seven times over the limit

Police have reported a motorist allegedly seen driving on the wrong side of a road in Murray Bridge’s CBD.

Police have reported a driver who was allegedly caught with a blood alcohol reading seven times over the legal limit in Murray Bridge.

The man’s Hyundai sedan was allegedly seen driving on the wrong side of Seventh Street around 2.15pm on Saturday, before turning into the car park at Murray Bridge Marketplace.

Police located and breath-tested the driver, a 34-year-old Salisbury North man.

He allegedly blew 0.351.

Officers disqualified him from driving for 12 months on the spot and impounded his car.

He’ll face court in Murray Bridge down the track.
