Drink driver loses his licence after crashing in Murray Bridge

A Murray Bridge man has lost his licence for a year and will face a drink driving charge in court after crashing his car over the weekend.
The 20-year-old allegedly crashed his Toyota station wagon into an electrical box and a fence at the corner of Frank Street and Commerce Road just before 12.30am on Saturday – with police watching on.
Police allege that he then returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.174 in a breath test – more than three times the legal limit.
Neither the driver nor his three passengers were injured.
The man also had his car confiscated for 28 days.
Also caught out on Trevor Street, Murray Bridge just after midnight on Monday morning was a 22-year-old local woman who was allegedly driving while disqualified.
She was arrested and had her car impounded, but was granted bail ahead of a court appearance.
Power tools stolen on Willow Avenue
Meanwhile, at least a dozen power tools have been reported stolen from a business in Murray Bridge.
Just before 3.20am on Friday, police were notified about a break-in at premises on Willow Avenue, between Murray Park and the railway line.
Stolen from parked vehicles were Milwaukee drills, band saws, angle grinders, reciprocating saws and a high-tension hacksaw; a Klauke crimper and cutter; and batteries.
