Coronavirus on retreat in the Murraylands

No cases of coronavirus remain in the Murray Bridge district, SA Health has advised, and only one patient still has the virus in the Murraylands.

In a briefing this afternoon, SA Health noted that only one resident of the Mid Murray council district was yet to recover from the virus.

Already recovered were two patients who previously had it in Murray Bridge, and another five to seven across the Mid Murray and Alexandrina districts.

No cases have yet been reported in the Coorong or Karoonda East Murray districts.

Premier Steven Marshall has attributed South Australia’s so-far successful efforts to contain the virus to its high rate of testing.

Anyone in South Australia who has a fever or symptoms of respiratory illness consistend with COVID-19 is able to get tested at a clinic or their GP.

Of 438 coronavirus cases reported in SA, only 40 remain active.

Another 394 have recovered and four have died.
