The All Culture Fest will return this year to celebrate Murray Bridge's cultural diversity, with a night of music, dance, and art.

The festival will be held from 6-9pm next Friday, June 20, at the Murray Bridge Performing Arts and Function Centre.

Mayor Wayne Thorley said the event was an opportunity to celebrate the diverse cultures that enriched the community.

“It’s an opportunity for us all to come together and recognise the contributions of people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures that serve to enhance and enrich our vibrant and welcoming community," Mr Thorley said.

The festival will showcase a variety of acts, including a traditional Chinese music and dance performance by the Ode to Joy Group.

It will also feature a powerful story by refugee ambassador Erfanullah Abidi, who will share his inspiring journey of resilience and advocacy, having fled Afghanistan and the violence of the Taliban in 2021 to start a new life here in Australia.

A welcome to country will also be performed by Rita and Michael Lindsay.

The festival will conclude with a citizenship ceremony, to welcome its newest Australians into the community, and to put a spotlight on Refugee Week, which will be held at the same time as the festival.

Refugee Week is a national week that promotes greater awareness of refugees, the issues they have faced, and the contributions they have made to the Australian community.

For those unable to attend, the festival will be live streamed on the Murray Bridge Performing Arts and Function Centre YouTube channel.

The event will be hosted by the council, in collaboration with the Murraylands Migrant Resource Centre and Genuine Support Services Australia.
