The Murray Bridge Community Choir has gatecrashed a Murray Bridge Community Concert Band rehearsal for a Christmas sing-along.

There was even a special moment when the choir sang Moon River for the band.

Now plans are afoot for more collaboration in the new year.

Community band president Les Smith was acknowledged and thanked for all of his hard work during the year.

Murray Bridge Community Choir will resume its rehearsals, from 6-7pm on Tuesday nights, on January 23 at the Baden Powell Hall on Sixth Street.

The community band normally rehearses from 7-8.30pm on Thursday nights at the same venue.

Everyone is welcome to join either group, no matter their skill level.

Correction: Pictured conducting is Ben Daly, not Les Smith.
