Scheduled closures of Old Murray Bridge in the near future will take place twice a week between Thursday 27 April and Thursday 1 June, 2023.

The closures are to complete scaffolding construction and dismantlement, install additional lighting components and undertake other activities that require access to the bridge deck.

Weather permitting, these full bridge closures will will occur each Tuesday and Thursday, between 9.30am and 2.30pm.

As previously advised, there will also be bridge closures between 7pm and 6am on the following nights, weather permitting:

  • Monday, 17 April 20
  • Tuesday, 18 April 2023
  • Wednesday, 19 April 2023.

Due to the Murray River flood event and restricted access under the bridge, short-term closures of up to 10 minutes will continue to allow the safe movement of materials into work areas from the bridge level until late June 2023.

During the temporary bridge closures, detours will be via the Swanport Bridge.
