Cannabis trafficker arrested in Murray Bridge
Plus police investigate the theft of an e-bike and two scooters at Tailem Bend and a grain auger at Kepa, and pull over six motorists for various offences.
Police have arrested a 44-year-old Murray Bridge man and charged him with drug trafficking after raiding his home this week.
Officers and a police dog searched a house on Janice Street, in the city’s west, on Tuesday.
They allegedly found 2.6 kilograms of “a buttery substance believed to contain cannabis”, plus loose cannabis and drugs for which the home’s occupant did not have a prescription.
They charged the man with drug possession and trafficking.
He was granted bail after an appearance at Murray Bridge Magistrates Court, and will appear at Adelaide’s District Court on Christmas Eve.
E-bike, scooters stolen at Tailem Bend
Meanwhile, have you seen this Norco e-bike, or two electric scooters?
All three vehicles were stolen during a break-in at Tailem Bend last week.
They were taken from a home on the Princes Highway sometime on Wednesday or Thursday.

Grain auger stolen at Kepa
Murray Mallee police are also investigating another significant theft from a farm property at nearby Kepa.
A grain auger and GPS unit were stolen from a tractor in a paddock on the corner of Boundary Road and Bullers Road sometime between last Thursday and Saturday.

Drivers reported
Finally, police have picked up six local drivers for various offences during the past week:
- A 24-year-old man driving a white Holden Commodore who allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.187 on the Princes Highway at Tailem Bend at 3.20am last Tuesday; he was arrested for drink driving and driving while disqualified, banned from driving for an extra 12 months and had his car impounded
- A 42-year-old Murray Bridge man who allegedly blew 0.197 on Robe Street on Sunday; he lost his licence for six months and his vehicle for 28 days
- Another 42-year-old Murray Bridge man who allegedly tested positive to illicit drugs after being stopped on Robe Street on the same day; he lost his licence for three months
- A 33-year-old Murray Bridge man who allegedly tested positive to methamphetamine while riding a motorbike on Homburg Drive on Sunday; he lost his licence for three months
- A 33-year-old Tailem Bend man who allegedly tested positive to drugs on Kelly Avenue, Murray Bridge on Sunday; he lost his licence for three months
- A 36-year-old Murray Bridge man who returned the week’s worst breath test, an 0.21, on Robe Street on Sunday; he had his licence taken away for 12 months and his car for 28 days
Each of the men will face Murray Bridge Magistrates’ Court in future.
