Bob Hancock has been a Murray Bridge News subscriber “since day one”, having signed up to support the independent local news service back in 2020.

There were a few reasons he chose to get his news by email each week, he said.

“(Murray Bridge News) picks the main things that are happening around,” he said.

“I’m pleased to read it, and quite often know people in it.

“I appreciate it … you get straight to the facts.”

He also appreciated the relatively high standards of spelling and grammar in this publication, he suggested, though of course no editor is perfect.

For his long-time support, Mr Hancock took home tickets to Infamous the Show, plus a number of other items, on Friday after his email was drawn at random from Murray Bridge News’ list of paying subscribers.

Paying subscribers are vital to keeping this publication going, enabling the flow of reliable local information through our communities, and Murray Bridge News is grateful for them.

The opportunity to win stuff once in a while can’t hurt, either.
