Award-winning dairy farmer will speak at business breakfast
Narelle and Joel Zanker will be the special guests at a breakfast in Murray Bridge this month.
An award-winner farmer and educator will share her story at a Murraylands Business Breakfast this month.
Narelle Zanker, Australia’s reigning rural woman of the year, and her husband Joel will speak at the breakfast in Murray Bridge on October 26.
Ms Zanker won the accolade at a ceremony in Canberra on September 8, recognising her efforts to grow an understanding of the dairy industry among everyday Australians.
The Zankers own and operate Dairy Adventures, a working dairy farm and visitor experience at Mannum, where schoolchildren and guests of all ages and abilities can get up close and personal with dairy cows and learn about where the milk in their fridge comes from.
Ms Zanker, a former teacher, has also partnered with two local schools on their own agriculture programs, and is in the process of developing resources for students around the country in partnership with Dairy Australia.
Guests at the breakfast – presented by Murray Bridge News – will also hear from a representative of the SA Dairyfarmers Association.
A final sponsorship spot is still available.
The Bridgeport Hotel will introduce a new breakfast menu at the event, with shared platters of fruit, yoghurt, muffins and pastries, mini croissants and bacon and egg sliders.
Guests will need to book by midday on October 23 if they want to eat, but Murray Bridge News will also introduce a “tea and coffee only” ticketing option for last-minute attendees or those who prefer a lighter start to the day.
- Tickets: $35 for breakfast or $15 for tea and coffee only at www.trybooking.com/DQKKX. Breakfast bookings will close at 12pm on October 23.
