Could your community group, sporting club or event do with a bit of cash from the Murray Bridge council?

Applications are now open for the March round of the council’s grants program.

Grants are given out for projects that will encourage economic activity, community connection and/or development.

Mayor Wayne Thorley said the grant program could drive meaningful change in the community.

“Through our event and community grants streams, we continue to support a wide range of initiatives, from major regional celebrations to grassroots community projects that strengthen connection, inclusion and local pride,” he said.

“We are proud to invest in our local community and I encourage community groups, organisations and businesses to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Two information sessions will be help for prospective applicants next week: at 10am and 5.30pm on Thursday, February 19 at the Murray Bridge council office.

Applications for the current round of grants will close at 4.45pm on March 6.
