“Sixty per cent of Aussies have some type of curl texture in their hair, but a majority of hairdressers don’t know how to cut it because they haven’t been taught it in trade school,” she says.
“I had one lady come in who was scared to get her hair cut because every hairdresser she’d had in the past didn’t know what to do – it was really curly and huge.
“She walked in and said ‘are you scared of my hair’, I said ‘I love your hair’ … she was very happy.
“I’m a bit of a curl nerd, I guess.”
