The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is heading back to Murray Bridge for the first time in more than a decade, bringing world-class classical music to the Murraylands as part of a regional South Australia tour in 2026.

The much-anticipated return will treat local audiences to a program of beloved orchestral works, including pieces from Mozart, Beethoven, and Saint-Saëns, as well as music from Mendelssohn’s enchanting A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Leading the orchestra on the night will be charismatic conductor and long-time ASO collaborator Guy Noble, who is promising an unforgettable evening for Murray Bridge audiences.

“It will be an action-packed 75 minutes of great orchestral music, stories and fun,” he says.

“I hope everyone can come along when the ASO rolls into town.”

For the musicians themselves, the return to regional communities is something they genuinely cherish.

Principal timpani Andrew Penrose says the energy of regional audiences is something that can’t be replicated.

“Visiting regional South Australia is always incredibly enjoyable for us as players,” he says.

“The audiences bring a contagious enthusiasm which infects the orchestra.

“Bringing these moments to the regions in our 90th year will be a special occasion.”

ASO CEO Colin Cornish AM says the visit is a significant addition to the ASO’s 2026 calendar.

“The ASO has a deep history of performing across South Australia and is committed to bringing the orchestra to as many people as possible,” he says.

“We are delighted to be able to present the ASO in the Murraylands, Limestone Coast and Barossa Valley.”

Don’t miss your chance to see the ASO in Murray Bridge this March.
